This is the 5th card we made in my February class. Bokeh is a photography technique that creates a softly out-of-focus background with spots of light and color. It has been a trendy look for the last few years, and we’ve even used stamps and ink to make our own bokeh look on cards. For this one, however, we’ve got the beautiful Falling in Love Designer Series Paper that provides us with this effect.
The focal point is the large flower from the Stylish Stems Framelits cut into a Very Vanilla panel. The sentiment is from the coordinating Special Reason stamp set, inked up in Sweet Sugarplum and punched out with the Classic Label Punch. It’s mounted on a strip of Blushing Bride card stock, and highlighted by a strand of Linen Thread tied below and trimmed close. A few Sweet Sugarplum sequins from the (retired) Fancy Frost Sequins finish it off. Thanks to Sarah Fleming for the design!
