The new Annual Catalogue has a very different look. Let’s take a walk through to see what’s on offer.
Of course, the primary purpose of the catalogue is to show you the great paper crafting products Stampin’ Up! offers. We know that the quality of everything and the outstanding colour coordination makes these products the best on the market.
We’ll get into the different types of products below, but as you’re leafing through the catalogue you’ll discover that this is more than a sales publication! There are all kinds of technique tips and examples, including watercolouring , fun folds, shaker cards, masking, and texture paste (pp. 118-127). There’s also a great explanation of colour theory and a colour wheel using all the current SU! colours on pp. 132-133.
One of my favourite things in the entire catalogue is on page 22…it’s a collection of Card Templates! These layout sketches can be used as inspiration with any variety of products and can be seen throughout the catalogue in the sample projects.
At OnStage 2024 I made these cards that are based on three of the sketches:
Three Categories
The first section is dedicated to Step-By-Step Crafting, otherwise know as the Kits Collection. These all-inclusive offerings have everything needed to complete the projects, including written instructions and a link to an assembly video. There’s a QR code on page 8 that goes straight to the website where one can see what’s currently on offer. Because new kits are introduced each month, and are available while supplies last, it isn’t practical to have a definitive listing in the printed catalogue. Instead, these pages are intended to show different situations and customers for which kits are an ideal crafting option.
The second section is all about Quick & Easy Options. These are for a crafter who wants to have simple options for personal expression and creativity beyond what a kit offers. Mix & Match is a great step up as one chooses a card base and different pre-printed and stamped elements to add as desired. Here’s an example of a card I made with these products:
The third, and largest section, is called Creativity Your Way. This is where we find the Suite Collections, Bundles and individual stamp sets. I love the updated layout, which make it much easier to see both the products and the pricing options.
There are three things I want to bring to your attention in the Bundles section (pp. 57-80).
- First, I firmly believe that one should always purchase the bundle. It’s inevitable that you’ll want whichever part you didn’t purchase the first time, so take advantage of the 10% discount!
- Second, on pp. 58-59 there are two bundles that have a Die(s) or Punch option, so you can purchase whichever you like best!
- And the third is pp. 74-80, where products carrying over from previous catalogues are featured.
After this section, all of our great colour collections, tools and accessories are showcased. There are also a lot more sample designs featuring products and techniques. Did you know that demonstrators have access to a “recipe” file that tells us what, and often how, products were used to make the catalogue samples? Let me know if you want details for any particular sample(s).
This year’s Index (pp. 140-141) includes more than just stamp sets, which is awesome! Some items are a bit hidden in the catalogue, which makes the Index indispensable.
If you’re in Australia and still don’t have your own copy of the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue, please fill out this form and I’ll get one in the mail to you. If you’re elsewhere in the world and would like me to recommend a demonstrator to you, I’m happy to make an introduction…just send me an email.
