A Classic CASE

In my August Monthly Card Class we made masculine cards for Father’s Day (1 September in this part of the world) or birthdays.  Each card could be customised as needed with adding or omitting a particular sentiment.

This card is a CASE from Julia Kettlewell.  I added the “You’re a Classic” sentiment option to be used with or without the Father’s Day sentiment.  We used the Story Label Punch to round the ends of the Whisper White strip it was stamped on.

We used a few different techniques on this card:  sponging the edges of the Crushed Curry background panel, stamping-off on the Basic Gray background images, and using a Blender Pen and ink to colour the classic muscle car.  

There was a lot of speculation on which model car this is…depending on what one’s father drove while growing up determined each person’s view!   I was glad to know this ticked boxes for several dads in the group…this resembles nothing the men in my life have driven (one high school boyfriend excepted), so it’s not a design I would make for them.
