This is one of the cards we made in my June Monthly Medley Class. I like to have a big variety of styles, techniques and themes in this class.
I CASE’d this card from Brian King, adapting his lovely, crisp layers to our A4 cardstock dimensions. I just love Brian’s clean card style, and his great sense of humour. I was happy to meet him at an SU! event in Salt Lake City in 2015. He was so gracious to all his fans!
While I’m reminiscing and name-dropping…I also got to meet Sara Douglass, SU! CEO.
Back to today’s card…
There’s nothing very complicated about this design…but the slightly differently-sized DSP strips and the off-centre positioning of the focal layers make it visually interesting.
Tip – try your best not to touch the cut ends of the Natural Finish ⅞” Ribbon because they fray really easily. We used this feature on another card we made this month, but it’s annoying on this one…I’m going to have to re-trim that end!
