All Geared Up

I struggle a bit with the concept of “masculine” vs. “feminine” themes for cards, since interests are so individual.  My mother-in-law was the most tool-oriented person in my immediate family, and we’ve got several men in our circle who are much more into growing flowers than working on cars!  When I make custom/bespoke cards I always ask about the recipient’s interests and favourite colours, etc. to make sure I’m making something that will truly speak to her/him/them.

This card might be considered “masculine,” but really it’s for anyone for whom it would suit.

I just adore these gear dies in the Geared Up Garage bundle! Great for steampunk as well as typical garage/tool themes, they are fun to cut and arrange.  Just be sure to use the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets on the back of the cardstock before cutting, and adhering is super-easy.  On this card I used the Silver Foil for the gears, and it adds a nice brightness over the rich browns of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.
