Have you seen the Apple Harvest stamp set on p. 54 of the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue? I overlooked it until Stampin’ Up! released the Perfect Partners – six sets of dies that coordinate with stamp sets released without dies in the catalogues – including Apple Harvest.
Raewyn Le Quesne, another SU! demonstrator, made a very similar card to this one, and I just loved her colouring with Watercolor Pencils, as well as the Diamond Easel fun fold. I made my own mini version that fits a standard envelope.
I stamped the image in Saddle Brown StazOn Ink, because I wasn’t sure if I’d be using a Blender Pen with my pencils.
While I do love colouring with my Stampin’ Blends alcohol ink markers, I find I can get much more detailed shading with my Watercolor Pencils. On this image I layered Cajun Craze, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, White, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Garden Green. I did use the Blender Pen just a bit at one point, but went back and added more layers of pencil that I “blended” by going over it with my Real Red pencil a last time.
The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments set and is cut out with its coordinating die. Popped up on a Stampin’ Dimensional it holds the easel front open.
I was happy to find a nice use for some of this plaid pattern from the Sale-A-Bration Rings of Love Designer Series Paper. It’s the only thing not included in the supply list below. Remember – the Apple Harvest Bundle (stamp set + dies) will only be available through the end of September. After that you’ll be able to only get the stamps!
