Avant Garden Emboss Resist

This is another of the cards we did in my February class.  It features a Sale-A-Bration set Avant Garden, which is available for FREE with your $50 order through the end of March!  We stamped the image in VersaMark and sprinkled with clear embossing powder.  Once it was heat-set then we sponged over the images with either Sweet Sugarplum or Mint Macaron inks.  The embossed images resist the ink, and once wiped with a tissue to remove any stray ink they pop out from the soft color surrounding them.

The sentiments were also stamped in VesaMark, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set on coordinating card stock that I flagged with the Banner Triple Punch.  This set has a nice collection of sentiments, very versatile for making spring cards.

A strip of coordinating ribbon was wrapped around the front of the image panel and secured to the back, with another length tied into a bow and affixed with Glue Dots.  The panel was popped up on the Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

These two cards are a nice addition to my stash to send out Spring greetings!
