Bar Mitzvah Card

I’m getting ready to visit my parents this weekend in order to attend my 30th high school reunion.  They asked me to bring a bar mitzvah card for them to send out, and that made me realize that I’d never shared this one on my blog.

I made this for my good friend whose son was a bar mitzvah in June.  It’s a pretty close CASE of LeeAnn Greff’s Graduation Pennant Card.  Instead of the graduation image on the front I used an image from the retired Jewish Celebrations set stamped in Night of Navy.  The inside is made with several sentiments from the Bravo! set stamped in VersaMark and embossed with clear embossing powder. The Mazel Tov in Night of Navy ink on the white banner was borrowed from a friend so I don’t know it’s origins.

For my parent’s requested card I copied the design almost exactly, but I swapped out the Starburst Framelit (now retired and sold) that mats the front design on this one for a plain circle.  I also had returned the Mazel Tov stamp and so used the Congratulations sentiment from Bravo! as LeeAnn did.

The card stock base is Brushed Silver (retired) and the inside is Night of Navy.  The check pocket inside the flap doubles as a place to sign or write a very brief note.  The ribbons on the pennant flap are ⅛” Night of Navy (retired) and Silver.
