I watched a video by Patty Bennett making some pretty cards with the Flowing Flowers stamp set (January – June Mini Catalogue p. 36) and decided to give it a try. Patty used Blending Brushes to apply her colour, but I was having trouble getting the effect I wanted, so I switched to Sponge Daubers.
I made a couple of changes from Patty’s designs on my card…she said she didn’t know what to do with the largest Iridescent Rhinestones, but I think they’re perfect on the largest flower instead of multiple smaller ones. I was glad I could capture them in the picture above – they’re tough to photograph!
I kept the ribbon white and attached it as a bow.
I also added a Granny Apple Green mat behind the stamped layer and inside the card. I believe the Granny Apple Green is a change from Patty’s colours, too.
