My friend and personal trainer, Lori, asked me to make invitations for her upcoming 50th birthday party. After numerous prototypes, we settled on this design, and I (literally) cranked out 20 of them in one morning. Gotta love my Big Shot!
This is a postcard-style invitation with no folds. The back of the invitation has a Whisper White panel with all the details of the party.
Lori chose a great mix of new, current and retired products: The numbers are made with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies (Occasions Catalog p. 10). The card stocks are Whisper White, Basic Black and Gold Glimmer (Annual Catalog p, 141, 149). And the shape is the retired Labels Collection Framelits Dies.
The numbers were cut twice, in both Basic Black and Gold Glimmer, and glued together offset, so that the Basic Black peeks out on the right side. This allowed the numbers to be placed over the edge of Gold Glimmer, popped up on Dimensionals, and still be visible.
I love to make custom projects that my clients are excited about! Come back next week and see the birthday card I made for Lori...
I've been paper-crafting since 2006, and an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 2010. I love sharing my craft with others, either through classes or by creating special cards and gifts that meet their needs. Join me in creating fun!
