Isn't it amazing how many different flower stamp sets are available? I am really drawn to this new set, Wild about Flowers, for a couple of reasons. First, it's got smaller-scale, delicate images that can still make a nice focal point on a card. Second, I love the photopolymer 2-step stamping in this set. And finally, the sentiments are retirement and moving on in life oriented, which fill a hole in my stash. This card uses a mix of new (Wild about Flowers), retired (Subtles Paper Stack, Painted Petals Soft Twine) and returning (White Jute Ribbon, Wild Wasabi Card Stock and Ink, Garden Green Ink, Melon Mambo Ink, Daffodil Delight Ink, Whisper White Card Stock). I've left off a sentiment until I know what I'm going to use it for. If I choose to stamp one it will be on the inside. This is it...we're down to the wire...this offer expires on Tuesday at 11:50 pm MT.
Still not sure it's the right move for you? Call me at 217-621-1050 and we'll talk it through! Ready to jump in? Click here, and welcome to my team!

Looking for a quick technique to add a lot of impact to a card? Try this faux letterpress technique.
You can add additional layers with stamped images or sentiments, embellishments, or whatever suits your fancy. On my example above I used the Boho Chic embossing folder with Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss inks. I started with a piece of Whisper White that was 5.5" x 4.25" and after it was embossed cut it down to 5.25" x 4". I then mounted it on a Blackberry Bliss card base. I've chosen to leave it as-is, because I like the busy pattern and interplay of inks just as they are.
If you were one of my customers who took advantage of either recent great deal on Paper Pumpkin, you should have just received this month's box of crafting goodness. Here's a video that shows you how Stampin' Up! suggests you put it all together. If you didn't, well, maybe after watching this you'll join in the fun next month!
Also, don't forget that Stampin' Up! has a Pinterest board full of alternate uses for Paper Pumpkin kits! And, you get the exclusive stamp set each month that you can use on any other project you want.
I will certainly let you know the next special deal that comes along, but if you don't want to wait and risk missing out on July's kit go to paperpumpkin.com and sign up.
I've been touting this deal all month long...only another 5 days left to take advantage of it. Email me with any questions, or just click to take the plunge and sign up!! I'd love to have you be part of my team and get 20% off every purchase.
This week I've had to say goodbye to my personal trainer of nearly three years. She's moving back to the East Coast to gether master's degree in athletic training. I'm thrilled she's happy with this move, but sad to lose a great trainer!
I thought this image and sentiment from Just Kidding was particularly appropriate! I used some of the more muted patterns of Bohemian DSP for the background, covering the seam with a piece of Whisper White ¼" Cotton Ribbon. I colored the image with my (discontinued) Blendabilities and cut it out with Circle Framelits, along with the Bermuda Bay mat. I mounted everything on a card base made with the new Whisper White Thick Card Stock, which is fabulous. It's nice and sturdy, the same weight as our Whisper White Note Cards. I'm really glad I went ahead and purchased 2 packs of this right off the bat!

Just one week left to get 2 free stamp sets when you join my team for $99! What are you waiting for?
I've got a friend dealing with some issues with helping out her mother-in-law. I wanted to send her a quick note to let her know she's on my mind. This single stamp, Kind Koala, is a fun image to color and send. Inside I stamped the "You've got this" sentiment from the set of the same name.
What have you been stamping lately? Snap a quick pic and email it to me...I'd love to see! A friend stopped by this morning with her daughter to pick out cards for Father's Day, dad's birthday, and for the daughter to have on hand at college. They bought a bunch right out of my stash, but also asked if I'd make a Father's Day card that featured a camera. I CASE'd this one from Heather Summers, using some different DSP patterns and washi tape. They said it was just what they were looking for! I love it when I can meet the needs of my customers so directly! This card does use retired products: On Film Framelits collection, the camera is from the Peachy Keen stamp set, All is Calm washi tape, and Maritime, Moonlight and Best Year Ever DSP. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, which is returning in the current catalog. Don't forget to check out this week's offerings, available through next Monday! Email me and I'll happily answer them. Ready to join? Sign up now! I had a lot of fun making this card on Saturday. I used a sketch from Kristie Marcotte in one of her tutorials on how to make a whole bunch of cards using 6" x 6" paper pads. The other week as I was clearing out retired product I realized that I managed to hold on to way too much of last year's DSP, so I've resolved to get in and start using this year's right away. This sketch makes it very easy to choose colors - just use the colors in the DSP! The cupcake wrapper is Soft Sky ink and card stock, the frosting is Watermelon Wonder ink and card stock. The candle is Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write markers. All of these are from the Sprinkles of Life set, while the sentiment, stamped in Bermuda Bay, is from And Many More. The card base is Watermelon Wonder and the layers are all Cucumber Crush. A fun card suitable for kids or adults, male or female. I thought it would be cool in a variety of colors so I made 3 at once, using Cucumber Crush and Melon Mambo. The Blended Bloom stamp is inked in VersaMark and stamped on vellum card stock, then sprinkled with white embossing powder and heated. I colored the BACK of each flower with Stampin' Write Markers: Hello Honey in the centers, and then Bermuda Bay, Cucumber Crush, and Melon Mambo on one of each. Then I cut each one out by hand using my paper snips. I put some of my hoarded (retired) Adhesive Sheets on the back of 4.25" x 5.5" pieces of the colored card stocks and one piece of Whisper White. I used the Striped Scallops Thinlit die on the colored pieces, and the hello from the Hello There Thinlits 3 times on the Whisper White. Don't forget to put waxed paper between the card stock and thinlit! I cut off just the part of the Striped Scallops that I needed, pulled it off the backing sheet and affixed it to the card base. Two ½" x 5.5" strips of matching card stock were glued at the top and bottom edges. The Blended Bloom image is applied with one Dimensional in the center. I peeled the hello off it's backing and applied it to the bottom section of the card. 3 medium-sized pearls finish it off. Looking at the picture above I've been getting a song by Gemini, a duo of singers in Ann Arbor that my kids used to love, stuck in my head. If you want the earworm, too, it's the first bit on this sampler. Great kid's music (much better than the Barney soundtrack), but still got old when played over and over! I have been a fan of the Candy Dots since they debuted a few years ago, but they may have been supplanted by a newcomer: White Perfect Accents. Yeah, this is one of the worst images in the SU! catalog...it doesn't begin to show off how neat these look in real life! ![]() This shows you that they are slim, dome-shaped, glossy embellishments. They are not as tall as a Pearl, or as flat as Candy Dots. I lined the sheet up on my grid paper, and the largest is just bigger than ¼", the medium is right at ¼", and the smallest is just smaller than ¼". One of the great features is that they can be colored with permanent markers, like any Blendabilities you still have in your stash, or Sharpies. Back at the start of April I announced that anyone who placed an order for at least $50 would receive a pack of my favorite embellishment in the new catalog. If you did, keep your eye on your mailbox for a wrapped-up package of the new Perfect White Accents. The wrapping is comprised of retired, continuing and new products: retired Park Lane DSP and Blackberry Bliss ribbon, White 1-¼" Jute Ribbon (continuing), and the super-cute new Stake Your Claim stamp set that coordinates with the continuing Handpicked Framelits. BTW, the Happy Stampin' is from a demonstrator-exclusive set called Best Decision Ever. Have you seen the new Build a Birthday set? It was one of the sets available for demonstrators to pre-order, and I've just had a chance to pull it out to play, while I'm waiting for my box of new goodies to arrive today. This set is photopolymer, so you can see to stack your cake layers.
I used Pool Party to stamp the cake stand, then layered Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder "cakes" on top. The candles are the pennants stamp, with the pennant ends masked off and the sticks inked in Pool Party. The set includes the flame stamp, which I inked in Crushed Curry and then used my Tangelo Twist Stampin' Write marker to color the inner flame. Again, the clear photopolymer stamp made it quick and easy to line up with the candles. The sentiment is included in the set as well, and is stamped in Watermelon Wonder. Both stamped layers are popped up on Dimensionals on a Cucumber Crush panel that's embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder. It's all on a Whisper White card base.
