At OnStage Live in April, Sara Douglass, CEO of Stampin' Up! showed us her idea for a class. She is a very vibrant, spunky woman, quite clean-and-contemporary in her taste (very different from her mom's soft, vintage, shabby-chic taste; yes, her mom is Shelli Gardner, co-founder and Chair of the Board at SU!).
Her plan is to give each attendee ¼ of a package of the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper (½ sheet of each of 6 sheets) and have them punch the entire stack with the Tailored Tag Punch, then adhere the punched pieces to Notecards and add sentiments. Here's what some of her projects looked like (in a quick photo of the giant video screen):
Pretty cool, right? So I decided to make my own version during my Facebook Live broadcast last Wednesday. You can watch the replay on Facebook or YouTube, and even set up reminders on each for when I go live, or when I post a replay. I made a few during that broadcast, and showed them with various sentiments. I will be gifting the complete set of 15 notecards, and have attached Dimensionals to the back of the sentiments but not to the cards themselves. This will allow the recipient to choose the appropriate sentiment and card to send out.
It's like quilt piecing! So much fun colour and pattern to play with!
Here are all 15 notecards:
Here's what's needed to make these cards...add whatever sentiments you have on hand, or use the suggested sentiment sets I've listed below (including Here's to Strong Women, the set used by Sara):

Yes, we made lots of cards during my Daisy Lane class!
When I lived in Illinois we had a lot of Purple Cone Flowers (Echinacea), which are a wildflower native to eastern and central North America that have been "domesticated" with a number of cultivars. They are called cone flowers because the petals tend to open so wide the point towards the ground, creating a cone shape.
To replicate this effect we stamped one of each size daisy in Highland Heather ink on Highland Heather cardstock and then cut them in half. One petal was removed from one half, and the two pieces were glued together in the centre. After adhering them to the Whisper White oval with the stems stamped on in Old Olive, we added Perennial Essence Floral Centers. You can see everything we used to make this card here: One nice thing about focussing on one stamp set during a class session is that there is less time spend swapping materials and more cards can be fit into the time slot. Here is another we made: I CASE'd this one from Cheryl Piotrowski who demonstrated it at the OnStage Local event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, in April. Each element is quite simple, but they combine to make a stunning card. I am so in love with the Crackle Paint background stamp, which we used with Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White. Then the stems are stamped on in Old Olive ink. One of each daisy is stamped in Daffodil Delight on Whisper White and punched out. We curled the petals upwards slightly before adhering them to the background panel with a drop of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. After adhering the stamped panel to the Old Olive layer we stamped the sentiment on a scrap and punched it out with the Timeless Label Punch. We then punched a tiny hole on either side (I used the retired 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch, but you can use a paper piercer like on the Take Your Pick Tool). We then passed Linen Thread through the holes and around the back of the Old Olive panel before tying a bow. The tag is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. It's all mounted on a Crumb Cake base, and Gold Faceted Gems added to the flower centres. It's just a happy card! Get Your Daisy Lane Bundle During Bonus Days!Remember, ordering products during July earns you coupons to use in August! Or Add Daisy Lane to your Starter Kit!One of my goals for the Daisy Lane class was to use each image in the stamp set on at least one project. This card, CASE'd from Gina Connor, uses the pretty open daisy image that doesn't coordinate with a punch. So I taught my attendees a masking technique so that the flowers appear to be in front and behind each other. The pretty, soft colours of Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam work well with the neutral Sahara Sand card base and sentiment ink. We used a large Stitched Rectangles Die to trim the top and bottom edges of the sentiment strip to get the stitched detail. I dug into my stash of retired baker's twine to find this Pool Party version...along with the rhinestone dot on the "i" it's the perfect finishing touch. You, too, can join me for class to make beautiful cards...all the details are below! The fun kept on going in my Daisy Lane class last Saturday when we made this beauty CASE'd from Christy Gridley: A panel of the very soft, Impressionist-style Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper works very well with the Petal Pink ad White Vellum cardstock punched with both the Daisy and Medium Daisy Punches, and the Old Olive Vellum punched with the Leaf Punch. Layers and a touch of sparkle from the Gold Faceted Gem and Metallic Sequins combine to make a sophisticated card. And Mini Glue Dots - lots of glue dots! Are you inspired to see what you can create with this fabulous Daisy Lane Bundle? The Bonus Days and Extra! Extra! promotions are a great opportunity for you to add this to your collection at a great deal! See below for all the details. Today I'm sharing another of the cards we made at my Daisy Lane class. It's based on one that was presented by Helen McEwen at OnStage Live in Auckland, New Zealand in April. On this card we stamped the fern leaf both full-strength and stamped-off once in Call Me Clover ink. The same colour was used for the sentiment. The stamped panel was mounted on a piece of Silver Foil Sheets and then on a Grapefruit Grove card base. We also stamped 3 of the medium daisies in Grapefruit Grove and punched them out with the coordinating punch. After curling the petals downwards, we affixed them with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Some of the new Designer Elements in antique silver finished it off.

I recently held a class focussed solely on the Daisy Lane stamp set and coordinating punches. This versatile bundle can make gorgeous simple or stepped-up cards.
This card I CASE'd from one of my new Aussie friends, Jessie Holton. I did change up a few things on my version. For the flower centre we used on of the Clear Faceted Gems and coloured it with the Seaside Spray Dark Stampin' Blends. I also doubled the Medium Daisy flower and eliminated the extra embellishments. The Subtle 3D Embossing Folder adds to the richness of the card. One could make this layout in a whole range of colours to great effect.

Last Saturday I hosted a few of my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators for a craft day. We each of prepared a project and taught it to the others. We also had a potluck/passed plate lunch. It was nice to have a turn to make projects that someone else prepared, and to chat with peers. This Twist & Turn Fold card was brought by Sharon Cornish. I'd never seen one before, let alone made one, so I was super-thrilled. Want to learn to make one? I'll be including it in my Fun Folds 2 class on 3 August (see below for details). ![]() Jenny White brought this beautiful multi-panel card. This is another layout I'd not made before...so fun! This may also wind up as part of the Fun Folds 2 class...we'll see! Ruth Sollberger brought this beauty. I'm really loving Seaside Spray, one of our new In Colors for 2019-2021. I don't have this stamp set, Pop of Petals, nor the In Color DSP stack, so more fun crafting with new-to-me products! And here's my contribution to the day...a Fanfold Panel Card. This one will definitely be part of my Fun Folds 2 class...be sure to scroll down and reserve your place! Jenny and Ruth also brought some cute, handmade gifts! Pretty box, and the berry-scented candles are a lovely addition to my craft room! Ruth made this blackberry jam with berries her husband picked last summer...I'm looking forward to opening this soon! Sometimes there are stamp sets that I'm late to the party on. When Broadway Birthday stamp set/Broadway Lights dies made their debut in last year's Annual Catalogue I liked them, and the suite's DSP, well enough, but I was neck-deep in preparations to move to Australia and they just didn't float to the top of my must-have list. Until a few months ago when I realised that the stamps and dies were going to carry over into this year's Annual Catalogue!
Here's the first card I've made with the sets:
It is a simple layout, but the colours and textures give it a lot of punch. Changing up the colours and embossing folder would give a different feel to the same layout - picture pastels, the Subtle 3D folder and some Wink of Stella on the "Wish". Add some of the party images from the set and make it more kid-friendly. Lots of options for this set that shouldn't be overlooked just because it's a year old!
Here's what I used on this card:

In yesterday's post I showed you the card I made by smearing Versamark ink over a Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Card and embossing it with the new Shimmer White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Today I'm going to show you what I did with the piece of cardstock that I placed under the lacy card front and was masked during this process. Here it is in the roughest form: And cut down to layer on a card front: I decided to cut out the centre medallion with a Layering Circle Die, and then punched holes around to weave some ¼" Textile Ribbon through. I layered that on a piece of Mint Macaron run through the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder, and mounted it on a Mint Macaron card base. The sentiment is another one suitable for a wedding, and is from the Darling Label Punch Box. That left me with the rest of the embossed panel for another project. I had cut the centre medallion out of another Laser-Cut Card front some time ago for another project, and still had it saved. So I popped it into the hole I'd cut in the embossed panel and quite liked how it looked. I simply mounted both pieces to a Pretty Peacock base and added the sentiment stamped in Versamark and embossed with Shimmer White embossing powder. I hope you decide to take a chance and play with your stamping supplies - it's fun to see what you can come up with!
