I've made this card for a stamping friend who has had a tough medical diagnosis this year. I know she loves the Pretty Peacock colour and feathers, so I had to incorporate them into the design.
Her blog logo has a two-toned feather similar to the ones I made. To get this effect I inked the feathers in Crumb Cake ink, then used a Sponge Dauber to add Pretty Peacock ink over most of the stamp, leaving just a bit of the Crumb Cake showing. Then I fussy-cut the feathers...thank goodness for the super-sharp Paper Snips with that very fine point!
I decided to use 2 pieces of the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper. They have the same scroll design on a Pretty Peacock background, but one is in Night of Navy and the other is in Copper Foil. I also added the Copper ribbon from the Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack to the centre of the Pretty Peacock ½" Scalloped Linen Ribbon. More of that ribbon makes a bow, and I pulled out the now-retired Copper Metallic Thread to add a tousle behind the feathers. The label pieces are cut with the Tasteful Labels dies. I cut the Crumb Cake label in half horizontally and spread it apart to make it more visible behind the Whisper White label. I know my friend will recognise the personalised touches I put into her card, and hope it will bring a smile to her day. Isn't it fun we can make cards that are as unique as the individuals we send them to? Here's what I used for this card - you can click on any image to go to my online store. Upcoming Classes & Events

These are the projects I made on my Facebook Live video this week. You can watch the replay on YouTube or Facebook.
A quick reminder for friends in North America who will be changing their clocks this weekend: it will affect what time I will go live next Wednesday! Double-check and make a reminder on your paper or electronic calendar so you don't miss out.
The first card is a simpler version, while the second is more stepped-up, with the ribbon and extra layers.
This week I used the sketch at CASE-ing Tuesday, a sketch challenge based on samples in the current Stampin' Up! catalogues. This week's sketch is based on a picture in the Mini Catalogue on page 81.

Last Friday I attended an online crafting class taught may my "sister" demo on Kylie's team, Carolina Evans. She taught us to make this fun fold card that she adapted from one by Debbie Mageed. I adapted Carolina's design to make use of the supplies I had.
I decided to use a piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper on my card base. This is one of the paper packs that's on sale through the end of the week! (see details below) The flower is coated in Wink of Stella glitter-y goodness, which doesn't show up on camera. You can see how the card is engineered in this pic:
And it folds flat to fit in an envelope!
Normally I'd give you the measurements here, but since Carolina modified the design a bit I'll refer you to her site if you want to make it in centimetres (A4), and to Debbie's site for inches (Letter). You can see by both examples that the possibilities for this design are endless! If you give it a go please send me pictures...I love to see what you create! Here's what I used to make this card...remember you can click on any pic to purchase that item at my online store. Only 4 Days Left To Save 15% On
