Cyber Monday Flash Sale!Last day for Online Extravaganza deals! I've set a goal for myself of having a new holiday-themed project to share with you every Monday until just before New Year's, for a total of 20 projects. Here's this week's: I love festive gift packaging, and these wine/beverage bottle tags and coordinating wraps fit the bill. They are made with the Here's to Cheers stamp set and coordinating Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies. (Note: they are sold as a bundle, which will save you 10%, but through Monday night you can order the dies at 30% off which will save you a bit more!) Anyone can slap a peel-and-stick bow on a bottle...pair your tag with a wrap of Designer Series Paper and you have a gift that will stand out! It doesn't have to be wine...sparkling cider, a bottle of very nice tonic or other mixer, all can use a bit of dressing up. These tags dies and stamps work well for other gifts, too...here are some I made for a customer with the other die in the set: And here are a few ideas from Stampin' Up!: Don't forget to fill out your wish list!

So much fun to be participating in my second Jewish-themed holiday blog hop! Stampin' Up! makes it a nice challenge since one needs to hunt for Jewish-themed stamp sets, or adapt others for the purpose. Today I'll show you a bit of both in my 3 projects. First, a more traditional Hanukkah card: As soon as we started talking about this blog hop during the summer I made this card! The little images are from the only set with Jewish-themed stamps offered this year - Everyday Occasions. Since they're so small I felt they'd be best used in multiples, and since there are eight days of Hanukkah, I put the Star of David in the center. I stamped everything in Dapper Denim ink on Whisper White card stock and cut them out with the Layering Circles Framelits. I also cut scalloped circles a bit larger out of Silver Glimmer Paper to layer beneath the images. I don't know if you can see in this picture, but each menorah is lit with the appropriate number of candles for each day using Silver Dazzling Details. The sentiment is from a retired SU! set - Jewish Celebrations - and is also stamped in Dapper Denim ink. I used the banner framelit from Cupcake Cutouts, which includes score lines to give the banner dimension. Everything is mounted on a Dapper Denim panel and then on a Thick Whisper White card base. Then I decided to have some fun. Inspired by an advertisement for ugly Hanukkah sweaters (who knew that was a thing???), I made this card. I started with a 5½" x 4¾" piece of Night of Navy card stock that I scored on the short side at 4¼". I attached a 5½" x 4⅛" piece of Window Sheet on the inside of the fold with Tear & Tape, and then a 5½" x ⅜" strip of Night of Navy to cover the adhesive on the inside. This card features the llama from Birthday Fiesta on the front, and the sentiment was made with the Layered Alphabet set. I love that the llama on the clear front panel obscures what exactly is being said on the inside. To stamp the llama I used my Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker to color the outline of the stamp, because I didn't want much of the hair texture or saddle blanket for this project. I cut it out with the coordinating framelit from Fiesta Time and popped it up on a square cut with a Stitched Shapes framelit. That's mounted on a Layering Squares scallop square of Silver Glimmer paper and then placed in the center of the Window Sheet. Inside I added a large square of Night of Navy and a smaller square of Whisper White. They cover the adhesive from the llama's layers and give a place to write a message. See what I mean about repurposing SU! products? Finally, here are a few treat containers for Hanukkah goodies. I've been making a bunch of these covered espresso cups with Christmas themes to sell at craft fairs, and realized that I should do some for Hanukkah, too. They hold K-Cups perfectly (I offer hot cocoa when I sell them) or chocolates (gelt anyone?) or even a bit of cash. Unfortunately plastic gift cards are a bit too large and stiff to fit easily. These use the images from Every Occasion again, along with Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper, Whisper White and Night of Navy card stock. Online Extravaganza Continues Through Monday!
Welcome to our International Visual Blog Hop using current Stampin' Up!® Products. We have all created this gallery of projects for you to be inspired by! We would love it if you could visit every one of our blogs and see a close up of our projects. Our theme this month is LOVE because as card makers we love spreading the love. You can see the gallery below and this will be on every blog that you click on so you will never be lost.
My preorder of Occasions catalog products arrived just in time for this theme...most of the elements on my card are from the Sending Love suite.
My background is a sheet fro the Sending Love DSP Stack, and I've added a strip of Real Red that I cut with one of the Love Notes Framelits Die (I love how the hearts pop up!).
Inside I stamped a sentiment from the Sealed with Love stamp set, that includes a whopping 27 photopolymer stamps! I also layered this fun, striped die-cut heart from the new set onto one of the Sweet & Sassy Framelits dies from the Annual Catalog. I used the same S&S die to cut a heart in the card front so that this element peeks through.
I also used some of the red metallic baker's twine from the Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine duo in the Holiday Catalog...which I had purchased partially in anticipation of using it on Valentine's Day projects!
Finally, all of the examples at OnStage Local must have rubbed off on me because I actually stamped my envelope (a rarity for me, I must admit).
Thanks for visiting my blog today! I hope it has whet your appetite for some upcoming releases.
There are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. We know that you will love our gallery of projects made from Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators around the world!
I've set a goal for myself of having a new holiday-themed project to share with you every Monday until just before New Year's, for a total of 20 projects. Here's this week's:
This is CASE'd directly from Angie Leach, who featured the Sweet Sugarplum version of this card on her blog recently. She's got all the details so I won't repeat them here.
I had so much fun making one of them I wanted to try my own color combination. I pulled the now-retired (sniff!) Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and went from there.
The card base is Bermuda Bay, and the glimmer paper for the center star is the old, lighter Silver Glimmer Paper that I colored with a sponge and Bermuda Bag re-inker. You'll need to let it sit for a while to let it dry. If you don't have the older Silver Glimmer Paper I bet the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper will give a good result, too, though you might want to test Pool Party re-inker and choose which color you like the best.
I used sentiments from the Star of Light stamp set and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The front sentiments are stamped on Pool Party and Sweet Sugarplum card stock. Inside I stamped-off the swirl of stars in Pool Party and Sweet Sugarplum before stamping them behind the sentiments.
These have a lot of parts, but I found it pretty easy to set up an assembly line and crank out several in a reasonable amount of time. Let me know if you give them a try!
