CASE-ing Tuesday #243

Today I’m sharing the cards I made on last week’s Facebook Live video.  You can watch the replay on Facebook or YouTube.   I’ll be doing another one on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am Melbourne time…here’s how to find out what time that will be where you’re located.

As I say in the video, I’m playing with the sketch challenge at the CASE’ing Tuesday Facebook Group.  What I don’t say is that CASE’ing stands for “Copy And Share/Steal Everything” or “Copy And Selectively Edit”.  So the premise in this group is that a picture from one of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogues is selected and used as inspiration for your own creation.

This week’s inspiration comes from p. 21 of the January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue:

Brenda Quintana, who runs this FB Group, kindly posts the card layer dimensions in inches for letter cardstock.  The easiest way I’ve found to convert these to work with our A4/metric cardstock is by using Kylie Bertucci’s Card Templates.  I have 2 sets – one in inches and one in centimetres.  The key is that you use the same coloured cardstock to make each set, so that you can easily go between them.  You can see what I mean below – I chose the layers closest to Brenda’s measurements and then pulled the same coloured layers from my metric set.
The first card I made I rotated the layout 90°:
And the second card I kept the same orientation as the original, but decided to do a sleeker version:
I hope you enjoy watching the video and seeing the creative process.  Let me know if you’d like to see me do something in particular during my sessions!

Upcoming Classes

I am hitting the “Pause” button and taking some time to think about how to proceed with classes over the next few months.  Please keep watching this space for info on new class-in-the-mail and/or online offerings.
