Have you noticed all the great examples in the Stampin' Up! catalogues? Have you ever tried to recreate or CASE (Copy and Slightly Edit -or- Copy and Steal/Share Everything) them? It's a lot of fun!
Is CASE'ing cheating? Not at all! As long as you give credit to the original source it's perfectly acceptable. I like to do it when I'm feeling crafty but not creative. I often find that it gets my mojo going and I'm then able to take off and make my own creations.
I sat down one day with the SAB Brochure open to pp. 6-7 and just crafted away:
These two cards are pictured on p. 6 of the Sale-A-Bration brochure and show off the lighthearted Hello Cupcake set.
These two cards were featured on p. 7 along with the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack. I love the colours and very fresh feel. The Incredible Like You stamp set on p. 21 of the Occasions Catalogue is designed to coordinate with the card kit of the same name, but it is so fun and versatile that I bought it on it's own.
Here are the products I used to make these cards. Click on any image below to go to my Online Store and order.
Sale-A-Bration Coordination Coming March 1!
O.M.G.! Coordinating Framelits for the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets will be available to purchase in March! Some of you in the U.S. may remember the non-SU! die-maker who made coordinating dies for SU! sets and we all vowed as we sent him our $$ that if SU! had made them we'd buy them - March is your chance!
Here are Framelits that coordinate with the Hello Cupcake, So Hoppy Together and Lasting Lily stamp sets from the first Sale-A-Bration release. I didn't have them for the cupcake cards above - how quick and easy cutting out that frosting would be with this set of Framelits!
There's also a set of Framelits for the 2nd release bundle, Painted Seasons, along with a multi-purpose sentiment stamp set and coordinating punch. Click here for a printable brochure with all the details.
I've been paper-crafting since 2006, and an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 2010. I love sharing my craft with others, either through classes or by creating special cards and gifts that meet their needs. Join me in creating fun!
