Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder

17/9/2020

I hadn't played with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder yet, but I've been seeing some great projects with it, so I decided to give it a play during my Facebook Live video this week.  You can watch the replay on YouTube or Facebook.  I will confess, I felt like today was a bit of a comedy show/circus!

The first thing I did was to run 3 different types of foil through the embossing folder:

I really did CASE the card in the Mini Catalogue (p. 35), except for changing up the sentiment.

As I said in the video, the Brushed Metallic cardstock went through beautifully.

The Red and Green Foil cardstock both had a bit of a cracking issue in the foil coating...which makes the evergreens look like they're dusted with snow...at least that's what I'm calling it!

Then the Feels Like Frost 6x6" Designer Series Paper.  It embossed with no issues, but be careful when cutting down to size, as the embossed parts will just rip apart with the paper trimmer's tracked blade...it's best to use a guillotine-style cutter (or cut to your desired size before embossing!)

Oh, yeah - as soon as I ended the video I scooped up my Sponge Daubers and put them back in their case...this is the second time in the last few weeks that I've done this.  Sigh.  At least it hasn't been spills that mess up cards!

Don't forget - if you live in Australia you can shop my Stampin' Up! store 24/7!

Join me on Zoom to celebrate World Cardmaking Day!
World Cardmaking Day is celebrated on the first Saturday of October each year.  This has usually meant throwing open my home to anyone who wants to make cards for a good cause - paediatric hospitals in Phoenix and Melbourne.  This year will be different, because 2020, right?

I will be crafting cards from the Global Paper Pumpkin Kit: Box of Sunshine, and welcome everyone to come play along.  You can purchase your own kit here, or just make some cards using your own stash.

Then we will prepare our cards to send out to some friends and family who could use a little bit of sunshine!  I hope you'll be part of the fun!

Zoom Info:
Saturday, 3 October, 10:00 am AEST (check your time zone here)
