Amidst the profusion of flowers in my May class we also made this masculine card:
I CASE'd the technique for making the denim jeans from Rachel Tessman. If you watch her video you'll see her card design was much more complex than I wanted to tackle for my Monthly Card Class, so I made a simpler version with a few tweaks.
We used the Pocketful of Sunshine to stamp the stitched elements, and used the coordinating Pocket Dies to cut out the pocket, For You tag and "bandanna" that I tucked into the pocket. This die coordinates with the money stamp, but I didn't want to use that since I'm not sure who it's going to or what the occasion will be. If I decide to insert cash or a gift card instead that's easy enough to do. This is a fun, different project to make - I hope you'll give one a try! Note: this stamp set is retiring on 3 June...but the dies are carrying over to be used with a much more feminine stamp set. I'm planning to hold onto this set for a while since I think it is so fun and versatile.
