Last Wednesday on my Facebook Live video I showed some techniques for watercolouring the beautiful line drawing image in the Christmas Rose stamp set. You can see the video on Facebook or on YouTube. Today I'm sharing what I did with that image:
If you've watched the video you'll recall that I stamped the image in Versamark and embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder. I used Shimmery White cardstock since it stands up to the water used in the colouring process better than Whisper White (and who doesn't like a little extra shimmer, right?).
To make the card I cut a piece of the Cherry Cobbler and Gold "lattice" patterned Designer Series Paper to fit within the gold edging of a Gold Foil-Edged Cards & Envelopes card. Then I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler - in this case I used the one from Perfectly Plaid because it was right at hand on my desk, but the one that comes in the Christmas Rose set would work as well). I cut out the watercoloured image with the coordinating die and popped it up with dimensional and added 3 Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
In my video I mentioned that I'm participating in Shannon West's new #imbringingbirthdaysback initiative for 2020. She's got a Facebook group all set up for it, and you can click on this link and request to join in the fun!
I am still having so much fun with this suite! I've got lots of ideas and inspiration for this set on my Pinterest board. To get your own suite of products click on the pictures below.
I've been paper-crafting since 2006, and an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 2010. I love sharing my craft with others, either through classes or by creating special cards and gifts that meet their needs. Join me in creating fun!
