Hippie Blossoms

Today I’m participating in Kylie’s Blog Highlights Gallery challenge.  Demonstrators all around the world have posted cards on which viewers are asked to vote.  The top 10 vote-getters will take part in a blog hop later this month.

I am asking you to vote for my entry by clicking the button below:

I call this Hippie Blooms because it totally reminds me of hippie denim and chambray clothes with rainbow patches or embroidery on them.  I achieved this effect by sponging colours onto Whisper White cardstock.

Then I cut out the thicker Many Layered Blossoms die and stamped the flower centres from Blossoms In Bloom in Misty Moonlight.  I adhered it to a panel of Seaside Spray that I ran through the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  I can tell this is going to be one of my go-to embossing folders!

I stamped a sentiment from Here’s A Card and cut it out with a die from the Tasteful Labels collection, and layered it on one of the Stitched Rectangles dies.

The card is on a Misty Moonlight base, and I even got a few single flowers cut out of the remaining corners of my sponged piece to add to the inside.  A few Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots finishes it off.

Card Kit:  includes all the pieces and printed directions needed to create 5 cards.  You will need to supply your own stamps and ink for sentiments, as well as having basic adhesive (like Multipurpose Liquid Glue) for assembly.
