Check out my post from yesterday to see my first alternative card! Here's the second card I designed as I was crafting with the Hugs From Shelli Kit during my Facebook Live video last week: I coloured in the Early Espresso image on one of the notecard sized bases in the kit using Stampin' Blends. This added a lot of depth to the image, IMHO! Then I cut the front panel off the notecard and wrapped some of the pink trim around it. You can see in the video I used my favourite trick of using a piece just long enough to fold over to the back on each side and securing it with Scotch/sticky tape. Once the sentiment label was popped up with Dimensionals, I tied a separate bow and added it with a Glue Dot. Uses a bit less trim and is easier to handle! A layer of Old Olive cardstock and an Early Espresso card base and voila - an easy "upgrade" to the original design. I'll be playing around some more with alternatives in the coming days... why don't you grab a kit and play, too? I like this alternative Nancy, I have been playing around with my kit and I don’t particularly like the twine being visible on the inside of the cards. Have placed the twine differently on mine, have not yet used a base.
