OK, I did not come up with this...I've seen several demonstrators do versions of this floating frame card, but it is pretty cool and I wanted to make one, too.
If you've watched my Facebook Live video from 8 May you will have seen me show off the Magnolia Lane DSP. There's a sheet of these just-opening magnolia buds that coordinate with one of the dies in the Magnolia Memories Dies. I cut out about ¾ of a sheet of these blossoms and laid them out on a layer of Basic Black cardstock. I then laid a piece of Press-n'-Seal plastic wrap* over the whole thing to hold all the pieces in place while I used one of the Stitched Rectangles dies to cut out the centre of the layer. To see how to make the Floating Frame cards, watch this Facebook Live video.
The sentiment is from A Big Thank You and is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.
*if you're in Australia and want tips on how to find Press-n'-Seal drop me a line.
Here's what I used to make this card:
Join me on Wednesdays at 10:00 am (AEST) for an online crafting session! We'll meet up on my Nancy's Nifty Notes Facebook Page and spend around an hour hanging out while I show you a project or two and answer any questions you have.
Friends in the USA - this broadcast will be on Tuesday evening...want to know what time I'll be live where you are? Click on this link to see!
Can't make the live broadcast? You can watch the replay here.
I've been paper-crafting since 2006, and an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 2010. I love sharing my craft with others, either through classes or by creating special cards and gifts that meet their needs. Join me in creating fun!
