I've set a goal for myself of having a new holiday-themed project to share with you every Monday until just before New Year's, for a total of 20 projects. Here's this week's: This card features a background made with the Tarnished Foil Technique, a multi-step process that uses both heat embossing and embossing folders. In this example I used Copper embossing powder and the Holly Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I embellished the card with pine boughs and a bow from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and the sentiment and frame are from Christmas Pines. I tried to show the texture of everything in the photo above. It's pretty amazing, yet flat enough to easily mail. This technique reminds me of antique pressed tin ceiling panels. If you'd like to learn how to do this we'll be making a different card with this technique in my November Monthly Class. RSVP by Tuesday, November 15 to get in on the fun! Coffee and a Card starts this Friday!Nancy's Nifty Notes Holiday Boutique
