Happy New Year, everyone! I thought I'd show you a couple of cards I made recently for friends. They each feature stamps and dies from the Holiday Catalog. While they are each winter-themed, they aren't particularly "holiday"...so don't hide your Holiday Catalog products away just yet! I'll show you one today and one tomorrow. This card uses an image from Christmas Cuties. It reminds me of bundling up my kiddos when they were little and sending them out to play in the snow in Michigan and Illinois. I stamped the image on Whisper White, then colored it with Wisteria Wonder and Soft Sky, as well as Blush Blossom (retired) Soft Suede and Blushing Bride for the face and hair. On a piece of All Is Calm Designer Series Paper (retired) I stamped the tree from Sheltering Tree in Archival Basic Black, and extended the trunk with the 0.5 Project Life Journaling Marker. The snowbank is a piece of Whisper White card stock trimmed with one of the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies. I mounted the snipped Cutie with Dimensionals, and swiped my clear Wink of Stella brush pen (debuting in the Occasions Catalog Jan. 5), on the pompom of the hat, the snowbank, and the branches of the tree. The shimmer is so subtle and beautiful! January Classes
