Yesterday I showed you a Christmas card made with a piece of Real Red cardstock I cut with one of the Curvy Dies from the Quite Curvy Bundle that's available for everyone to purchase now. Today I'm showing you what I did with the other piece of Real Red that was left.
At first glance this looks a bit of a hot mess...but it's actually a super-simple shaker card! The piece of Real Red was glued to a panel of Whisper White, and then I ran them through the Subtle 3D embossing folder. I slipped it into a plastic bag/envelope, and tossed in a small handful of sequins. Then I sealed the bag. Depending on the size of the bag/envelope and cardstock panel you use you may have excess plastic to fold to the back and adhere with sticky tape. Then I wrapped a length of ribbon around and added a bow. After glueing the bag to a card base I added the hearts with the die cut word.
Not only did I get 2 cards from one die cut, I got a jump start on the next major holiday!
These shaker cards are easy to make and easy to mail because they don't have a lot of thickness to them. Have I convinced you of the usefulness of these dies yet? I've got more up my sleeve! Keep watching this space, and go get yourself this bundle! Here's everything I used to make this card:
