This card features two dies from the Quite Curvy Bundle that is available as an early release to customers starting today! Since the stamps and dies are bundled together you save 10% on both - score!
When I saw the images of the dies I knew I needed to have this bundle, just for that great swooping curve. I immediately had several ideas come to mind to use it, both with the dots and without. I will be using it on cards for Christmas, Valentine's Day, birthdays, and more over the coming months.
Now, having said that, this card was actually inspired by the adorable embossed leaves cut by other of the dies, LOL!
I started by stamping the tree image, then glued on the tiny leaves. The Take A Pick tool was a must-have for this, since the putty end made picking up each leaf super easy while I put a drop of Liquid Glue exactly where I wanted it, then placed the leaf on top.
I cut the 3 swooping hills, varying the placement of the die on the scraps of cardstock, and then layered them over the tree trunk. This layout would be good for so many occasions...I chose to make it a thank-you card by using this nice script sentiment from one of my go-to sets, Here's A Card. It's one of the first sets I reach for when looking for a sentiment! A narrow black mat help set off the bright colours, and I popped it up on Dimensionals for some added depth. I repeated the mat on the inside for an elegant look. I love that from concept-to-finish this card took 30 minutes, and I used up several scraps in the process! You can get your Curvy Cute Bundle starting today...there is also an upgrade option that includes some great Christmas products, too!
