Stitched Lace Daisy

Several months ago I received a Random Act of Kindness (RAK) card from Tanya Rees.  The card is so pretty I’ve been wanting to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it.  This week I finally did as part of my bulk-batch card making.  I made 2 of each colour.

The big Stitched Lace Die is so intricate that it can be a bit annoying to use if the bits (chads?) get stuck in the cardstock and/or die.  After cutting a couple of them I finally remembered the trick of putting a layer of wax paper between the die and cardstock. It acts as a dry lubricant and 99% of the bits come out with a quick pass of the Take Your Pick Die Brush.  To adhere it to the card base I used little dots of glue:

I stamped the sentiment multiple times on a piece of cardstock and then sliced it into very narrow strips.

Join me on Zoom to celebrate World Cardmaking Day!
World Cardmaking Day is celebrated on the first Saturday of October each year.  This has usually meant throwing open my home to anyone who wants to make cards for a good cause – paediatric hospitals in Phoenix and Melbourne.  This year will be different, because 2020, right?

I will be crafting cards from the Global Paper Pumpkin Kit: Box of Sunshine, and welcome everyone to come play along.  You can purchase your own kit here, or just make some cards using your own stash.

Then we will prepare our cards to send out to some friends and family who could use a little bit of sunshine!  I hope you’ll be part of the fun!

Zoom Info:
Saturday, 3 October, 10:00 am AEST (check your time zone here)
