I won't lie...this Lockdown 2.0 is being tough on a lot of people. My rational brain tells me that my life isn't that much different than my regular day-to-day life, but my emotional brain knows that there are big changes, and that they do affect me, and the people around me. So I'm working extra hard to keep creating and sharing both cards and food!
The Flowers for Every Season Suite is a fun one to pull out when I'm trying to create some cheer. Here's a card I made featuring the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle, some of the DSP from this suite, and one of the Memories & More Cards & Envelopes.
The Cards & Envelopes come pre-printed with that polka-dot frame and envelope liner. I cut the DSP at 3" x 4" to fit within the box, then used my Detailed Trio punch to round the corners.
I cut the solid Bumblebee layer for the sunflower, then used a Sponge Dauber with Bumblebee ink to give a little colour variation.
I did the same thing with the Whisper White overlays for the leaves - I just didn't want them to be so starkly white.
The sunflower overlay layer was cut from Cinnamon Cider with Adhesive Sheet applied to the back. I let the backing paper determine how many of the itty-bitty dots were removed from the centre.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat-set it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and fussy cut it out.
Here's what I used to make this card...click on an image to go to my online store.
I've been paper-crafting since 2006, and an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 2010. I love sharing my craft with others, either through classes or by creating special cards and gifts that meet their needs. Join me in creating fun!
