Tea Room DSP and Blog Candy

Someone gave me a partial pack of the Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper and I spent some time playing with it recently.
These 4 cards are definitely embracing Kylie Bertucci’s #loveitchopit philosophy!  Simple and repeatable, they are going to be packaged together and donated to a cancer research fundraiser.
These 4 are inspired by Jackie Bultje, who has a great video tutorial on YouTube, and are a fun way to use the DSP.  I wish you could better see the Climbing Roses image stamped on the butterfly card.

Directions:

  • Cut your DSP 10 cm square (4″), mark bottom side at 5 cm (2″), then adjacent sides at 2.5 cm (1″).
  • Place the DSP on your paper trimmer with the marks on the bottom and one side lined up on the trimmer’s cutting slot and cut off the corner.
  • Rotate the paper and cut from the bottom point to the side.
  • Take a 10.3 cm x 14.5 cm (4 ⅛” x 5 ¼”) strip of coordinating card stock and adhere the square end of the DSP at one end of the card stock leaving an equal edge (0.3 cm or ⅛”) on the 3 straight sides.
  • Insert the slanted end in the paper trimmer, lining up the edge of the DSP with the inside edge of the clear cutting arm, which should leave an edge 0.3 cm or ⅛” when cut. Rotate and repeat.
  • Embellish as desired and adhere to card base with Dimensionals.  I stamped a matching panel (10.3 x 14.5 cm or 4 ⅛” x 5 ⅜”) to layer it on first.
Be eligible to win a packet of this DSP and coordinating card stock by following the Blog Candy directions below!

What a lovely idea…but we can go beyond that!

Come make a variety of cards that go beyond a simple crease.  You will also receive a printout with directions for each type of fold. Suitable for novice and experienced crafters.

Paper Pumpkin is Stampin’ Up!’s monthly paper crafting kit that has been available in North America for 6 years.  This special kit, designed in conjunction with SU!’s co-founder and chair, Shelli Gardner, is a one-off global offering.

The Shelli kit from Paper Pumpkin includes the following:

  • An exclusive stamp set not available anywhere else
  • One Classic Stampin’ Spot® from our Classic ink collection
  • Paper and crafting materials to create 12 cards (3 cards of 4 unique designs)
  • 12 exclusive, coordinating envelopes
  • Adhesives and embellishments for all 12 cards

I will be creating a Pinterest board with alternative project ideas for using the contents of the Hugs for Shelli Kit.  I will also offer a session in my craft room for customers who purchase it to come assemble their kit and make some alternatives if they like.

When I lived in the U.S. I really enjoyed both the original designs and creating alternatives with my Paper Pumpkin kits…I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity!

I fully expect this kit to sell out quickly…you may pre-order with me now, and I will collect payment from you before placing an order on May 15. This will save you having to remember on the day!
