Blossoms in Bloom

Whew!  What a day yesterday was!  The new Annual Catalogue went live, and though I had done a lot of preparations, there is still a lot that has to happen in the moment.  But, I did manage to hold my Facebook Live session (though an hour late, and a bit more scattered than I’d hoped).

Here are the two cards I made during the session:

Both feature the new Blossoms in Bloom Bundle.  The top one uses 3 of the new In Colors, Just Jade for the card base, and then Bumblebee and Magenta Madness for the flower die cuts.

The bottom card is Magenta Madness again for the base and the top die cut, but this time I stamped the flower image in Daffodil Delight.  I like this look a lot.  One can even layer both die-cuts on top of the stamped image…I’ll have to try that next.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and is inked in Memento Tuxedo Black onto strips of cardstock that are punched with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.  I used the same punch on both, but because the strips are different widths they have slightly different looks.  I show a trick in the video of how to get the right length for your strip…here it is in pictures, too:

Here’s my other tip for this punch: add a  label with the width of the strips it takes…they’re written on the insert that comes with the punch, but that’s not so handy!
