I was inspired to make this card when I saw a similar one by Lisa Miller.

One of the things that really sets a handmade card apart from commercial ones is the use of layers. In this case it’s not only the two layers of Lemon Lolly cardstock (the card base and the dry embossed layer), but the double layers on the daisies, too.

The leaves have a couple of shades of green layered on, as do the painted flowers and leaves on the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper. And there’s Pebbled Path ink layered on the daisy centres, too.

And, of course, there are layers of texture, from the embossing on the Lemon Lolly layer and the flower petals, to the dimension added by the popped-up sentiment and the Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems.
