This year I’ve decided be active in a Facebook stamping group, Christmas Stampathon 2024. There’s a challenge issued each month and the goal is to get people working ahead on their holiday cards. The first challenge this year is to make multiple cards using circles. Here’s what I decided to make:
The Deckled Circle Dies are a fantastic set…with so many sizes! I used one that fits perfectly into a C6/Medium Envelope to cut through a folded piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock, being sure that the fold was just inside the cutting edge. You can compare the one on the left and the one on the right and see that I got different amounts of the fold within the die, to make a longer and shorter hinge. Doesn’t really matter, though the one on the right will have a more pronounced flat top.
I also used some of the Labels Aglow Dies to make the pierced layers. Behind the larger one I used some retired glimmer paper, and behind the centre I added some Real Red.
I wish you could see the iridescent glimmer better…it really picks up the green nicely. The sentiment is from the Circle Sayings set.
I hope you decide to participate in the Stampathon, too…it’s a great, low-key way to build up your Christmas card stash with supplies you have on hand throughout the year.
