May the Fourth Be With You!
The 4th of the month is the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop, and this month’s challenge to make a Rustic Theme card was set by Mandy Witherby.
The new Country Woods Suite Collection is the perfect thing for this challenge, so I happily dove in.
I used one of the templates on p. 22 of the Annual Catalogue as inspiration for this card front. I did make some modifications to fit what I wanted to do.
I’ve recently rediscovered my love of colouring in with the Watercolor Pencils and Blending Pens. I find it gives a much softer look than the Stampin’ Blends Markers.
The Eyelet Lace 3D Embossing Folder and Country Woods Designer Series Paper are definitely more rustic touches, as are the light sponging in Smoky Slate and Cajun Craze around the edges of the sentiment and inner Very Vanilla panel.
Be sure to hop around and check out what everyone else has made for this challenge!
Here’s what I used to make this card…everything is available in my Online Store.
Beautiful cards…love the use of the watercolour pencils
Lovely card, Nancy with a real country feel.
Beautiful card Nancy. I love how you have interpreted the inspiration photo. I’m so in love with the Country Wood Designer Series Paper and it lends itself perfectly to the rustic theme. Well done!
Such a beautiful card Nancy, gives a great country feel.
Love the texture and the dsp – it looks just fabulous.
