Yesterday I showed you one graduation card I made at the request of a customer. Today I’ve got another pair, made for a high school marching band’s two drum majors.
My friend emailed me a picture of her kids in their marching band uniforms, and asked me to do something that reflected them. Here’s what I came up with:
Here’s the inspiration picture:
And a fun twist-and-pop insert inside!
I used a long-retired stamp set, called Varsity, for the front school initials by stamping them in Whisper White Craft ink and using White Embossing Powder on top. The year is made with the Number of Years stamp set and coordinating Framelits, inked in VersaMark and then Gold Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from the now-retired BYOP set, likewise stamped and then gold embossed. I sketched and cut the front curves freehand, which is why they are neither identical nor particularly smooth. The Metallic Enamel Embellishments were perfect to represent the buttons on the belt/sash. Emerald Envy was the winner of the green color match challenge.
