This is the card I made during this week’s Facebook Live video. You can watch it on replay on YouTube and Facebook. I go live on my Nancy’s Nifty Notes Facebook Page every Wednesday at 10:00 AET…you can check to see what time that is where you are at this website.
I found this Double Decker Pop Out Card fun fold design on Sue Campfield’s blog, where she’s posted several samples and a tutorial for sale.
I was able to work out metric measurements for an A4 version…though if you watch my video you can see that I had to recalculate on the fly for one of the layers, LOL!
I’ve made my middle layer 2 different ways. On the Fresh As A Daisy card above, the layer extends beyond the front later, providing a frame or mat for the Garden Green Scalloped Contour piece.
On this card, the Petal Pink mat on the first layer completely hides the middle layer, which is cut from the same Radiating Stitches die.
Measurements for A4 Cardstock
Card Base: 14.9 x 21 cm, scored at 5.25 and 10.5 cm.
Pop Up Mechanism: 11 x XX* cm, scored on the 11 cm side at 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 cm.
*XX = length of the mechanism will depend on the length of your layer. It’s best to have it a bit shorter than you layer.
I also mentioned in the video that I would provide the link to my Scalloped Contours Internal Layer Measurements PDF. This makes it so easy to cut these layers accurately without having to figure it out each time. It’s got both metric and imperial measurements, so download away!
Here’s the supply list for these cards. Clicking on the pictures will take you to my online store.
