Driving By on a Road Trip

I send a lot of cards to friends and family, and that includes sending a lot to men. Some of them are the stereotypical “guy’s guy,” and like tinkering with cars and in workshops, or playing or watching sports. But many of my guys don’t fit that mould, and so I need cards that are more neutral than frilly, flowery and bling-y ones. I think this one hits the sweet spot:

I’ve combined the 3 vehicle images from Driving By, a set that’s FREE with a minimum $90 purchase through 16 March, with some paper from Beauty of The Earth, and a bottom layer of Layering Designs Vellum.

I put the die-cut Beauty of the Earth tree DSP onto the vellum with Foam Adhesive Strips. They are just a bit taller than our Stampin’ Dimensionals, which I used to adhere the cars. This means they’re both popped up, but at different heights. I also used Dimensionals to add the sentiment banners. Then I put Tear & Tape on the back of the vellum, where it would be hidden by the DSP, to adhere it to the card base.

These cars are very fun to colour in with Stampin’ Blends!
