I recently discovered these “Paper Busting Templates” for all kinds of patterned paper and card base sizes. They are by jesscrafts.com and I’ve been having a blast playing with them.
I’ve focused on her 6×6 templates for A2 cards (which is the technical name for card bases made from ½ sheet of Letter cardstock – not related to the metric paper sizing system, just really confusing!). I’ve found that I have no problem putting her templates on our standard metric card base made from ½ sheet of A4 cardstock. Each template cuts the DSP to make 2 cards.
In this set I’ve rotated the layout so that I have one in portrait and one in landscape orientation.
I’ve also flipped the pieces of DSP. You may discover that your DSP’s pattern dictates the orientation or side you use.
I fussy-cut the zinnias from another piece of DSP.
Don’t forget to cut and use the incomplete flowers at the edges…both card fronts and the insides utilise these images!
A little bit of bling on each and you’ve got a pair of fantastic birthday cards!
Here’s what I used to make these cards. It can all be purchased in my Online Store, but don’t wait too long…the Flowering Zinnias producs are on the Last Chance List!
