Forever Greenery Leaves Challenge

I just received my new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and immediately put it through it’s paces.  I’m in love!  It cranks so smoothly, embosses so deeply, cuts so cleanly!  We waited so long for it to be released after Stampin’ Up! discontinued carrying our previous machine…I’m glad it didn’t disappoint.

I cut a few shapes and embossed a piece of cardstock, and then had to make something.  I’ve got a basket on my desk of pieces I’ve cut but then decided not to use on a project, so I challenged myself to use some of them to make this card.

These are just the ones that I thought might work based on  colour or theme…I’ll have to do a few more of these challenges, I think!

The only thing I had to cut was the strip of Forever Greenery DSP and the card base. I wasn’t sure about the Night of Navy-stamped image, but it works with the mix of colours.  I also mixed it up with some images from Forever Fern and some from Love of Leaves.

See that Soft Sea Foam ring with the Dainty Diamonds embossing in Pretty Peacock?  That’s an off-cut from this card!  I don’t often save things like that, but I’d managed to get it cut perfectly and it was so interesting.   I attached it to the circle after stamping the sentiment by carefully placing Stampin’ Dimensionals:

I got another die-cut placed inside, too!
