Is anyone else calling this new pink colour, “Bubblegum?” Just me? OK, I’ll work on it, LOL.
I’ve been making a lot of these book binding cards recently – they’re simple and fast and a good way to show off your Designer Series Paper (DSP). When I saw this pre-printed block in the Fresh As A Daisy DSP I knew it would be perfect for another of these cards.
To make one, cut ½ sheet of cardstock lengthwise. Score it in half, then again to make the front flap divided into a square (4 ¼” x 4 ¼” -or- 10.5 x 10.5 cm) and a smaller rectangle section. That’s it! You’ll adhere the small rectangle to the back of the card, which will make the spine, or bound, part of the book.
Sometimes I wrap the ribbon around the card base before adhering the binding shut, but this time I wrapped it around the decorative cardstock layers.
I dipped into my stash of retired products to find this Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon that I think is perfect with these daisies. So are the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, which happily are returning in the new catalogue.
