Fun Folds Class – Gate Fold

“A card is a hug with a fold in the middle.”  One of the speakers at April’s OnStage Live quoted this, and I love it.  My recent Fun Folds Class gave my stampers some new options instead of a simple fold in the middle…this week I am showing them to you.

The Gate Fold card is really the simplest of fun folds – instead of scoring the card base in half, you score one-quarter of the way from each end.  Add a decorated panel to just one side, and voilà, a gate fold card!

On this card we also added panels to the “gates”…in this case card stock embossed with the Basket Weave 3D embossing folder.

The stamping is done with the Above the Clouds stamp set and the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch.    

I’m loving this colour combo, too – Call Me Clover and Crumb Cake is fresh yet warm and inviting.  In all, I think this card would be great for anyone of any age.
