“A card is a hug with a fold in the middle.” One of the speakers at April’s OnStage Live quoted this, and I love it. My recent Fun Folds Class gave my stampers some new options instead of a simple fold in the middle…this week I’ve ben showing them to you, and here is the last one:
This card involves a lot of simple, repetitive measuring cutting and scoring. Once one’s brain wraps around how it’s made it is not particularly difficult. There’s a good tutorial at splitcoaststampers.com, but I used one by Bruno Bertucci that had the strips of DSP on the cardstock base. It’s for sale as part of Kylie & Bruno’s fantastic Everything is Rosy Tutorial Bundle.
We used some of the (now retired) Twinkle Twinkle DSP, and in the centre added one of the totally adorable images from This Little Piggy. I’m so glad this set is carrying over again!
We also added a panel on the back side (not included in the tutorials – just make a second one) to write on.
This will slip right into a Medium Envelope to mail with normal postage.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these alternative ways to make cards…I’ll be offering another Fun Folds class down the road and hope to see you there!
