I really like the embossing the optional inner die does on the poinsettia bracts (fun botany fact – those usually-red parts of the plant that we think of as the flower are not petals, but bracts, or specialised leaves. which are supposed to attract pollinators to the little flower in the centre.). They give a lot of detail, texture and dimension.
I’ve layered the poinsettia on a piece of the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper, which features flocked designs on vellum. I’ve nestled a big bow of Gray Granite ¼” Shimmer Ribbon in between the two as well. The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and is punched at either end with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. To finish it off I coloured a Rhinestone Basic Jewel with my Gray Granite Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker, though I think the Beaded Pearls embellishments from this suite would be lovely.

Monthly Card Classes
I will provide a kit and written instructions to make the 5 cards shown above. Participants will be able to add sentiments as desired with their own stamps and inks. Kits can be picked up from my residence in Melbourne using safe, social distancing protocols, or I can ship via tracked satchel. Come give this a try – perfect if you’ve always wanted to try my classes and can’t attend in person.
Card Kit: includes all the pieces and printed directions needed to create 5 cards. You will need to supply your own stamps and ink for sentiments, as well as having basic adhesive (like Multipurpose Liquid Glue) for assembly.
Cost: $30 + $8.95 optional shipping. Australian crafters only, sorry.
Written Tutorial: Purchase the instructions including measurements (in centimetres and inches) and create along with us using your own supplies. You can substitute papers and colours based on what you have. International customers welcome!
