I stamped each goat onto a Full-Sticky Post-It Note, which has the removable adhesive over almost all of the back, with just a narrow strip that is tack-free for lifting. I find these make really good masks that are reusable several many times before giving out. The key to getting good results with a mask is to cut INSIDE the outline of the image, so that when it’s stamped over there is no blank “shadow” left by the minuscule height of the mask.
To stamp with masks, first stamp the image you want to be in the front. Place the mask over it, then stamp the image you want behind it. So I stamped the bottom goat, masked it, stamped the next goat up, masked it, and stamped the top goat.
When I do this again, I’ll angle the top goat more like I did in yesterday’s card, so that you can see that left, hind leg.
I coloured the goats with different combinations of Stampin Blends, though I used Petal Pink (154893) on all the faces. Bottom: Gray Granite (154886), Middle: Crumb Cake (154882), Top: Smoky Slate (154904). The sky is Balmy Blue Light (154830) and the grass is Just Jade Light (153107).
The mat is Basic Gray (121689), and the DSP is from In Good Taste (#152494). The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black (132708) on Whisper White (106549) and cut out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies (152886). The ribbon behind the sentiment is the now-retired Braided Burlap Trim…I think the Faux Suede Trim (152472) could make a good substitute.
