Heat Embossing On Designer Series Paper

These are the cards I made during this week’s Facebook Live video. You can watch it on replay on Facebook or YouTube. I go live on my Nancy’s Nifty Notes Facebook Page every Wednesday at 10:00 AET. Note: my clock changes to Daylight Saving Time this Sunday, so my broadcast time may change for you…you can check to see what time that is where you are at this website.

I wanted to play around once again with adding heat embossed images to patterned paper, which is called Designer Series Paper, or DSP, in the Stampin’ Up! world.

This card is stamped with Delicate Dahlias and embossed in Copper embossing powder (EP). With the pink background it winds up looking almost rose gold in colour.

This card features the DSP and stamp set from the Harvest Meadow suite, heat embossed with White EP.

It took some fiddling around with the final layout for this one, but I’m pleased with it. The copper Brushed Metallic Dots pair nicely with the EP, and I’m ridiculously happy with the slots in the label for the ribbon.

I had the layout planned for this card, but figured out the finishing details on air, and am pleased with this result, too. The little pearls are much more white in real life than in the photos. The ribbon does a nice job of bringing the green onto the main panel, and the overhang of the sentiment label piece is a fun touch.

Here is a supply list for both cards. Clicking on a picture will take you to that product’s page in my online store (except for the Mint Macaron ribbon, which is retired).
