Here’s to Mom

I’m sorry I’ve been absent again…I don’t really have a good excuse, just caught up in life and neglecting my blog.

If you’re still looking for inspiration for your Mother’s Day cards, here are a few I’ve done this year. I’m not showing the one I sent to my mom until this weekend, to make sure she’s opened it!

This one is note card sized, and was made as part of Connie Stewart’s “Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge” a few weeks ago.  I used a bunch of things from the Occasions Catalog:  Painted Blooms DSP, Spring Flowers Embossing Folder, and the Butterflies Thinlits.  The sentiment is from the still-not-retired and ever-so-versitile Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

This is one of the cards that we made at my April class, using Summer Silhouettes, the Large Polka Dot embossing Folder, and a sentiment from the April 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit.

Another from my class, this one features the Crazy About You set for images and sentiment, highlighted with “zendoodling” on the images.  Thanks again to Connie Stewart for the inspiration and layout, though I changed up the colors.
These two are also note card sized, and inspired by a post on Shelli Gardner‘s blog.  It features watercoloring with AquaPainters and re-inkers on watercolor paper.  Both cards feature the flower image from Hello Darling stamped in VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder…some of the series I stamped before watercoloring, some I stamped after watercoloring, and I can’t remember which is which!

The top card’s sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and the bottom’s is from And Many More.
