Here’s the projects I showed and made on my Facebook Live video last Wednesday. You can catch the replay on
Facebook or on
YouTube. Don’t forget to click on the “notifications” box (FB) or “subscribe” button (YT) so you don’t miss any of my videos!
For this video I took the Joy of Giving Tag Kit elements and used them to create my version of Christmas card alternatives inspired by members of the Crafty Carrot Collective. Here’s how the tags were designed by Stampin’ Up!:
They are quite nice, but the kit makes 30 cards, which is waaaay more than I need this year. So I was happy to turn some into Christmas cards.
This one is CASE’d pretty much exactly from Krista Frattin‘s card. I think the only thing I changed was using a solid piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock for the mat instead of the polka-dot DSP because I’ve used mine up, LOL!
This one is by
Susan Wong. I opted to leave off the swirl of twine.
These next few are also by
Susan, just on a different blog post. Again,
I cut out a few of the flourishes on some of them as they were a bit busy for my taste.
Hope you enjoyed these, and it gave you some insight into thinking outside the cute, red box that this kit comes in!
Here’s most of what I used to make these cards (there are various bits and bobs that are retired):
Christmas Wishlist
Does your family need a little nudge in the right direction to find something to put under your tree? If so, here’s a wish list for you to write down what your heart desires.
You can fill it out and either leave it in a strategic place, or send it back to me with contact info and I will get in touch with your nominated gift-giver to make the process super-simple. I can also issue gift certificates for products or classes!
