Lights Aglow Strip Christmas Tree Card

I CASE’d the design for this card from one I received from Kerrie Mitchell. It’s one of the best uses of the Labels Aglow Dies that I’ve seen…and the happy news is that they’re carrying over along with their coordinating stamp set, Brightest Glow!

To make the tree, I glued strips of the Lights Aglow DSP along with 1 strip of the Very Vanilla Glimmer Paper (both retiring) to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I used the tree outline die from the Twinkling Lights Dies (also retiring – boohoo!) to cut it out.

After cutting the circle and border dies from a piece of Very Vanilla I mounted a piece of retired foil behind it. You can use any gold-toned foil or glimmer paper you like…I thought Kerrie’s idea of using up this Grapefruit Grove with an iridescent sheen to it was very cool. The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen.

I simply glued it to a Very Vanilla Thick card base and added the tree with Dimensionals. A Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirl and a bow top it all off.

Here’s the supply list – you can use this technique to make trees or baubles/ornaments with any DSP or cardstock and die.
