I CASE’d this card from Artisan Design Team member Yvonne Spikmans-Van Bruggen. I made a few minor changes (choice of embellishment, Designer Series Paper) but kept her other elements.
The flower image is stamped twice in Smoky Slate – first on the Basic White layer, then on a piece of scrap. Can you see the Melon Mambo speckles on the BW layer? That’s done by flicking the brush end of the Melon Mambo with it’s cap…it creates a completely random splatter effect. Be sure not to have anything else in the vicinity or it could get splattered, too!
The image on the scrap is coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers, then given itty-bitty dots of white Craft ink. Yvonne said she used a little paintbrush, but I used the tip of my Take Your Pick tool’s small stylus.Then the coloured image was fussy cut and layered with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the Basic White layer…with Baker’s Twine looped in between.
Sentiments and sequins finish this off…I love the pops of bright colour!
