Merry Monday #11 of 20

I’ve set a goal for myself of having a new holiday-themed project to share with you every Monday until just before New Year’s, for a total of 20 projects.  Here’s this week’s:
I was inspired to make this card after seeing one made by Leena Girsa.  We have many of the same elements, but our cards look different, which is fun.

I started by using our new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Have you seen it?  It’s extra-thick, and embosses extra-deep.  Look for the video from Stampin’ Up! below to get tips and tricks for using it.

Anyhow, I used the Cable Knit folder on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  It just reminds me of the fisherman’s sweaters that were (are?) so popular with that warm hue of white.  Then I cut 6 of the small evergreen boughs from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies, four in Old Olive and two in Garden Green.  I also cut two pinecones in Soft Suede.

I attached the Very Vanilla Cable Knit panel to a Garden Green card base, then adhered the evergreens boughs and pinecones.  I added a bow of Cherry Cobbler ribbon from the ⅜” Silky Taffeta Ribbon Combo Pack, and stamped the sentiment from Tin of Tags in Cherry Cobbler onto Very Vanilla, cutting it out with a die from Lots of Labels Framelits.

Here’s that video about the Cable Knit Dynamic embossing folder:
