Merry Monday #14 of 20

I’ve set a goal for myself of having a new holiday-themed project to share with you every Monday until just before New Year’s, for a total of 20 projects.  Here’s this week’s:

This is CASE’d directly from Angie Leach, who featured the Sweet Sugarplum version of this card on her blog recently. She’s got all the details so I won’t repeat them here.

I had so much fun making one of them I wanted to try my own color combination.  I pulled the now-retired (sniff!) Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and went from there.

The card base is Bermuda Bay, and the glimmer paper for the center star is the old, lighter Silver Glimmer Paper that I colored with a sponge and Bermuda Bag re-inker.  You’ll need to let it sit for a while to let it dry.  If you don’t have the older Silver Glimmer Paper I bet the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper will give a good result, too, though you might want to test Pool Party re-inker and choose which color you like the best.

I used sentiments from the Star of Light stamp set and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The front sentiments are stamped on Pool Party and Sweet Sugarplum card stock.  Inside I stamped-off the swirl of stars in Pool Party and Sweet Sugarplum before stamping them behind the sentiments.
These have a lot of parts, but I found it pretty easy to set up an assembly line and crank out several in a reasonable amount of time.  Let me know if you give them a try!
